Who could forget the scene in Titanic when Kate Winslet arrives at the port with her steamer trunks containing everything from Picassos to elegant evening wear? As much as her upper crust look, it was the mass of luggage she brought along that announced her as a woman of sophistication and style. Today's traveler would find it difficult (read: impossible) to wing it to Europe or the Middle East with that amount of luggage (even if Leonardo DiCaprio were there to carry it), but we could definitely use some modern glamour to pack our worldly goods.

Enter Hartmann's, soft-sided, hand-crafted expansive Intensity 50" mobile traveler garment bag designed with high-performance ballistic nylon and tough full-grain leather that fit four Armani suits, five Brooks Brothers dress shirts, two pairs of Ferragamos and a slew of casual clothes.

This is the James Bond of luggage with all kinds of secret weapons for travel: two front zippered pockets, quick access compartments, two removable corner mesh zip pockets and a large removable zippered shoe pocket. Whew! That's enough to hold nearly two weeks worth of clothing without the massive wrinkling that you usually get from garment bags.

On a recent whirlwind trip around the world -- literally from Dubai, Turkey, Las Vegas, Lebanon and more -- I added the 27" mobile traveler that held all my shoes, unmentionables, paperwork, gifts and camera bag. HartmannThe reasonably priced duo (around $1,000 total) withstood the rigors of over a dozen flights and officially became the first set of bags that I ever received compliments on from fellow travelers. Maybe it was the polished antique brass finished hardware that added a special twinkle in the air; however I’m not sure.

Whatever it was, I can't wait to channel my new Hollywood style on the road again with Hartmann Luggage.
